I’m a partially disabled veteran trying to live a more healthy, sustainable lifestyle. I have enjoyed writing my whole life, but was always afraid to expose my works to others. I’m learning to open up more and speak my mind. Not all my posts are about sustainability so I might add other blogs or pages over time.
Reading what other people are blogging helps me find my voice, even if I disagree with their observations I respect their viewpoints. Life is too short for bickering. Whether you are part of the “Lifeboat Earth” category, or you lean towards “Spaceship Earth”, you belong to the human race.
I have a B.S. in Computer Information Systems and plan to pursue a Masters in Public Administration soon. Sort of ambitious for a person who started college 7 years ago at at 42. I work at the Department of Veterans Affairs because I feel I do my best work serving those who served America in a fashion only about 2 percent of the population have. Very few people have offered to give their lives for the rest of us: JESUS, Veterans and First Responders ( Law Enforcement, Firefighters and EMS).
I take each day as it comes. Some are good, some are bad, some are almost unbearable. It took me a while to learn, but progress can only come with changes. If you cannot change yourself, nothing around you will change. That isn’t my original concept, so I will not take credit for it, but it continues to to be a valuable lesson.
I hope you enjoy reading my blog. I also welcome constructive criticism.
